Questions, answered.

Straight answers about buying tiles on Pixecity — what you get, what it costs, and what it isn't.

How do I buy virtual land on Pixecity?+

It takes about a minute. Pick a city, zoom into the map and tap the tiles you want — four tiles minimum, $1.00 each. Add your name, an emoji and a short message, then pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Your tiles are reserved for 10 minutes while you pay, and once the payment goes through they're yours on the map for good.

Is virtual land a good investment?+

No — and that's the point. A tile on Pixecity is a digital display and participation right on a shared community map. It is not land, real estate, or any kind of financial or investment product, and it doesn't go up in value. You buy a tile because you want to leave your name on a place that means something to you — not to make money. If you're looking for an investment, this isn't it.

Do I need a crypto wallet?+

No. Pixecity runs on a regular card payment handled by Paddle — no wallet, no blockchain, no crypto and no tokens. You pay the same way you'd pay for anything online, and your claim is stored on the map under your account or email. If you later create an account with the same email, your earlier purchases show up automatically.

What am I actually buying?+

The right to display a name, an emoji, a short message and a map tile on the Pixecity community map. That's it. You're not buying physical land, geographic property, or any territorial or ownership right to the real-world place behind the tile.

Can I change my name or message later?+

Yes. From My Account you can edit the name, emoji and message on any of your claims at any time. The tile itself stays yours — only the text on it changes.

What happens once a tile is taken?+

It's marked as claimed on the map and no one else can buy it. You'll see it filled in with your name and message, and it links to your shareable claim card.

How much does it cost?+

$1.00 per tile, with a minimum of four tiles per purchase. That's it — no subscriptions, no recurring fees and no hidden costs. The price is the same in every currency (1 CHF, 1 £, 1 € or 1 $ depending on where you are).

Is it safe to pay?+

Yes. Payments are handled by Paddle, our payment provider, and we never store your card details. Tiles are reserved server-side for 10 minutes so two people can't buy the same tile at once.
